Watercolors with Markers: illustrating a family of caribou
It is no secret that when I first started painting with watercolors, I didn’t really use watercolors. In fact, I used markers. Specifically, I used Tombow Dual Brush Markers, and the effects I could achieve with them were remarkable. Most people wouldn’t have even known that I used markers and not watercolors when I would show them my artwork. Even to date, most people cannot tell.
Long story short, if you are interested in trying watercolors, but have been intimidated or too afraid to do so, I highly suggest you test out these markers. I’ll be posting more tutorials and timelapse videos of my using them, and you’ll be able to see some of the great results you can get. Watch the tutorial video below.
